A figure painter who expresses the darker side of humanity with a strong graphic sense of form, colour and design. A painterly world where the shapes of men and women morph and evolve into one dominant being, showing that today's society can be gender neutral when concerning the pressures of sexual prowess, business power and family stress. The men and women in Mayrs's paintings have become one and the same.
